Landforms

Mrs. Wolf began a great landforms social studies with the class today. The students have a lot of knowledge to pull from, and they will learn so much about landforms. They also started to make a flip-book about landforms as well.

We are excited to have Mrs. Wolf in our classroom. She is a wonderful student teacher, and she has been with us since the beginning of school. She will be in our classroom until September 27. She has taught several lessons already,  and she has also co-taught with me. She will be taking over the majority of the teaching for the next three weeks. The kids will surely learn a lot from her great lesson ideas!

Mealworms, Mealworms, Mealworms

We welcomed an insect into our classroom this week. The 2nd graders will be studying about mealworms in science. Right now we are acting as scientists and recording observations about our interesting insects. We will chart their growth, development, and changes.

Brody uses a hand lens to get a better look at his mealworm.

Elli didn't hesitate to get a feel for the mealworm.

This mealworm seems to be checking out Breyana!

Deserae lets the mealworm crawl in her hand.

"Under Construction"

Welcome to our 2nd grade blog! I love to share what is happening in our classroom. As you can see, I'm doing some "construction" on the blog, and time is a little tight right now. So, it's a work in progress right now! I will share classroom pictures and activities though, so make sure you check back often!
